An oldie but a goodie

The recent news suggesting that testing immediately after learning aids recall more than other methods of study reminded me of previous “scientific” teaching methods – and especially of the video below, which is a parody of (the now hoary and ancient) silent way.

I’ve stuck on three more videos afterwards – the second and third, I think, show how the silent way could still be effectively used in class, while the fourth is an interesting youtube experiment: YOUR FIRST, “SILENT WAY” LESSON IN LAKOTA. Hooray! and “cha” (I think that means “wood”).
